Brother Moose Legionnaires:

     I would like to thank everyone for their attendance at the Moose Legion meeting, and a special thanks to the Portsmouth Lodge for hosting the meeting.  I would like to a lot of support at the Williamsburg Lodge on October 3rd for the Higher Degree Ball and the Conferral Ceremony.

     I will be making my visits within the Lodges in the next two months.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone at their Moose Legion Committee meetings.

     Thanks to the Gloucester Lodge for a great picnic!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our next Moose Legion meeting in October.

Brother Legionnaires:

     I would like for all the Assistant Secretaries to take a good look at your retention list for the ones that have dropped out of the Moose Legion.  Call them or write them a short note and ask them why they have dropped out of the Moose Legion.  For the last year we have lost a lot of members through the back door.  There are not many coming in through the front door!

     It does not cost much to be a Moose Legionnaire.  It is less than 5 cents a day.  It is the fun side of the Moose.  Talk Moose Legion and try to get our members to come back.  Tell them about all the fun things that we do.  We all have fun at the picnics, especially the kids.  They have food, rides, and
eat all you want, and all of it is FREE!  It is like having a family reunion with all your Moose Legion friends and kids.

     The Moose Legion Winter Celebration is February 18-21, 2010.  It is a fun weekend for all.  Eat, drink, and be merry!  Get your Brothers to join the Moose Legion.  Talk Moose.

     AIN'T IT GREAT TO BE A MOOSE LEGIONNAIRE--I SURE AM!!

     I would like to thank all my Brothers for electing me Vice President.  I hope to serve you well.

     The Stimulus Package has helped us for the past two months, but now we need to start again for the new year.  I know that we all worked hard and we will continue to do so in the future.

     Let's all think MEMBERSHIP and RETENTION.

     We are making plans for the Winter Celebration at the Hampton Holiday Inn February 18-21, 2010.  We will be mailing out raffle tickets in about 3-4 weeks.  Like last year, we will be mailing two (2) books of tickets to all Moose Legionnaires and asking them to either buy them or sell them at $1 per ticket or six (6) for $5.  There will be a letter with them letting you know where you can turn in the stubs and money.  Remember, you do not need to be present to win, and all proceeds will go to offset the cost of the Winter Celebration.

     We are ready to start marketing the Winter Celebration Program Books.  All ads are the same price as they were last year: $90 for a full page, $50 for a half page, $30 for a quarter page, and business card size is $15 for members and $20 for non-Moose advertisers.  We would like all Lodges, Moose Legion Committees, Boosters and Chapters to turn in their sign-up sheets as soon as possible.  You can get your sign-up sheets from your Assistant Moose Legion Secretary.  We need as much participation as possible, so please help sell as many ads as you can so that we can have a nice program book.
